It All Begins Here
8:12AM 9 July 2026
This edit to the video was done in about thirty minutes. Quizas was first, in my head for some reason. Then obviously it was Lucie’s video.
The main point was that the video was done in one shot, on first take. You can tell by the shoddy camera work and tracking.
But similar to Celine, perhaps one take is all that’s needed.

*Celine Dion only did one demo take for "My Heart Will Go On", which ended up being the final vocal used.
8 JULY 2026: PARIS, FRANCE
It All Begins Here
It’s midnight in Paris and I’m edifing for Veronika Jeanvie Couture shoot. The uploads are done, the batteries charged for tomorrow’s shoot and SD cards prepped. My mind is clear for just the edits now.

The shoot: To me it’s a dream-like vibe.
I consider sound-tracking it to Avril 14 (a la Sofia Coppola’s Marie Antoinette) but it doesn’t have the fullness and richness I’m after. I scroll through tracks and FKJ pops into my head for some subconcious reason - I want something sensual and full.
The VHS-style colour-leak filter edit I’ve had in my head since the first exposure this evening (shooting the diffusion filter just blew the lid right off what I wanted). The original plan was BW-ish grain, but it took too much detail away from the vivid dream-like vision. This is Marie Antoinette’s dreaming world.

I export the video and it’s 2am. What’s with me and dreams in my shoots, why do dreams and dreamy-ness resonate with me so much?
I suppose the answer is that this all feels like a dream.
Why am I even in Paris, in Europe, shooting this dream event that collided together, guerrila-style, the costuming, the carousel, the violin, the crowds, the Paris 'été heat, the Lucie shoot after and the bus 92 route ride back home via Arc de Triomphe. The fact that I was at the Tour Eiffel twelve hours earlier, rushing to school. The fact that I still Doctor work in four hours time at 6am. The fact that for the last one month I’ve been shooting castles and bridges and immeubles , of streets, of swimwear models in Ibiza, and how I’ll be still here tomorrow morning, and the next day, demain, and apre demain, and so on for another month.
What a dream. It’s all surreal.
This life.
Turn Intention Into Action
It All Begins Here
Confidence doesn’t always arrive with a bold entrance. Sometimes, it builds quietly, step by step, as we show up for ourselves day after day. It grows when we choose to try, even when we’re unsure of the outcome. Every time you take action despite self-doubt, you reinforce the belief that you’re capable. Confidence isn’t about having all the answers — it’s about trusting that you can figure it out along the way.
The key to making things happen isn’t waiting for the perfect moment; it’s starting with what you have, where you are. Big goals can feel overwhelming when viewed all at once, but momentum builds through small, consistent action. Whether you’re working toward a personal milestone or a professional dream, progress comes from showing up — not perfectly, but persistently. Action creates clarity, and over time, those steps forward add up to something real.
You don’t need to be fearless to reach your goals, you just need to be willing. Willing to try, willing to learn, and willing to believe that you’re capable of more than you know. The road may not always be smooth, but growth rarely is. What matters most is that you keep going, keep learning, and keep believing in the version of yourself you’re becoming.
